CM400 rear shock question

Been Around the Block
I'm looking to replace the shocks on my CM400. I rode it all last season while I fixed it up but the shocks were pretty beat. I had to jack them all the way up to their maximum setting just to keep from bottoming out on the slightest of bumps, so I figure it's time for a fresh set. I found a nice retro set on DCC that are 12.5 inch eye to clevis only problem is the stock one's I have now are 13 inch.

So my question is, will they work or will they be too short and end up giving me the same problem. Here they are: http://www.dimecitycycles.com/vintage-cafe-racer-bobber-brat-chopper-custom-motorcycle-suspension-eye-clevis-320mm-12-5-inch-retro-slim-black-chrome-shock-absorbers-damper-32-0218.html

I also found a 13.20 inch set that I'm pretty sure would work fine, they just don't look as nice to me. It's just aesthetics though so when it come to form and function, function wins out. Anybody have any opinion or experience with replacing these shocks?

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

I would go with the longer ones, steering is pretty laid back on 400C so anything that quickens it up will be an improvement
