Hi all

I noticed that the wires were getting a little ripe at the spark plug end. Can I remove the wires from the coil end or are they hard wired? I didn't want attempt to twist off or pull not knowing. The coil appears stock.

Thanks in advance for the help. I have sucked a lot of usefull information from this site.

Parts fische shows them as being attached. I've seen cb750 threads where people dremel cut open their coils and splice in new wires,so what you're asking can be done.

I believe the plug caps can be changed as well, without having to replace the entire wire.

Sounds like work :). Replacing the caps sounds like the way to go. It's at the plug end where things are ripe. I'll give it a try. Thanks for the help.

Dime City Cycles has these splicers. You could cut the wire shorter, splice in some new wire...I'd put new caps on too...they are relatively cheap.
