Coils Power Source

DC74inc

Come on in and sit on it.
If you would notice where the coils white and black wires meet and connect to a black wire with a white stripe, Follow that black striped wire and it ends at the kill switch. When this switch is switched to on does that wire connect directly to the battery?? What color is the wire that goes from the kill switch to the (+) terminal? If that black striped wire runs into the forward controls wiring (kill switch/on switch) where/how the hell does it draw voltage from the battery? ??? Ultra Baffled Tonight. Thx for replys as usual.

Red goes from your battery to the keyed ignition supplying power.

When the key is turned on that power goes to the system via black, brown, and brown/white.

Black= System main power (ignition)

Brown = tail light/parking light

Brown/white = idiot light power

The black from the ignition goes to your on/run (kill switch) When the run switch is in the on position it completes the circuit applying power to the coils allowing the bike to start.

sweet, you guys answered questions I have been wondering about color code wires. Going from what you've said If I turn the kill switch to ON, I would get a 12v reading on my multimeter from that line, the dual prong (b/w) plug for the coils. Because I will try that too, Thx mucho amigos

CA DMV lingo

noice, Hey you guys, look at this lil thing I found, http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/mcy/2515062365.html instant love, and no title. I did some research and In California for can apply for a Duplicate title, they have a form, I downloaded it, it just looks like a dmv form and its specifically for lost titles, you pay a fee and such. Anyhow I asked 115 for a non runner with an EXTRA ENGINE. and I thought it would be a bomb little trail bike sort of design that I have in my head. What do you guys think about asking someone to sign a duplicate title form for lost titles if I got a bike for like $ton

what is the engine mount style called, like those hondas and yams that mount under like this?

PS THE PICTURE DOESNT ENLARGE

I got my bike running today for the first time ever after read this paragraph. I got the wiring right and it fired up like mad. I jumped on it with the idle going like 5000 rpms put it in first let out the clutch and went flying down my 30 degree driveway out onto the street with no front brake or helmet. I tried like hell to lean into the turn and keep it on the street but the bike jumped the curb going 30 mph and we smashed into the shrubbery in my neighbors front yard. I looked back in excitement to see my muffler on the side walk. That was my first ride.
