Re: COLORADO CREW!!!!!!

right on Beater... thats cool. AS for me I would like to ride today since its gonna be close to 50 but I need to crank out this XS 750 by this weekend. So I will be in the garage. But, if any one wants to hit me up I will go for a ride on the cafe.

Thanks,

Re: COLORADO CREW!!!!!!

Waddup everybody!

Really pretty new to the forum, but glad I found it. Just moved out to CO about a year or so ago, and finally got my bike out last fall. Also talked my good friend into getting an old buddies bike, so we're gonna cafe that out come early spring. Hope to find some people to ride with.

I've got a 71' CB 750, cafe'd out but pretty stock, wanna keep it mostly original/old school.

I recently moved down to Denver, but back to Boulder. When I was living down there, right off of Colfax/Gilpin, I noticed some bikes out front of the "Streets of London" pub, by any chance was that any of you? Looked like a decent old school joint to meet up with other cafe' riders.

Anyway, Look forward to catching up with you guys if your down, come spring. Cant fix that itch quite yet!

Re: COLORADO CREW!!!!!!

Welcome to the DTT. You should post up som pics of your bike and start a build thread on the other when you get movin' on it. There are a couple of down here in Colorado Springs.

Re: COLORADO CREW!!!!!!

I live in Aurora and my shop is in Commerce City, and am building up a pair of Suzuki GT550s and a 73 CB750. One of the GT550's will be "restored" to as near as-delivered condition as I can get it, the other is being cafe'd out, as is the CB.

Also, I own a shop where I build, prepare, and maintain high performance and racing cars, so if anyone needs fab work like tube bending, welding- MIG/TIG etc in steel, SS, or aluminum, or whatever I am happy to help out.

Welcome 'Dinger! If it was a few weeks ago, I would've been there. I believe there was four of us. Anyways, we'll have to meet up for a ride.

Very cool. I would love to check it out some time. I've been riding for about 6 years now, started with Harley's (1200c sportster, then a 03' Road King) but with my 71 cb 750 was really the first time getting into breaking it down and learning the insides. My cousin is a mech. and was teaching me but that was back home.

Even just to shoot the shit would nice as well.

I'd look forward to meeting up with you guys eventually.

Re: COLORADO CREW!!!!!!

welcome man!

on a separate note i am curious about something.
I have a 1971 cl350 im gettin parts together for and im gonna do a pretty mild cafe during a three week period in the end of april beginning of may (i think im not sure ill double chck) for a highschool senior project but bottom line is i need to have "experts in my field" to help me out with whatever. I think i have this pretty down but i've never done it before so im sure it will go a lot differently than i think now. I have two seats made and im going to have a guy i know upholster it (one expert!). I will not be tearing the motor out or painting the frame i dont think i have enough time to do that during this so as i said its pretty mild. I'm just wondering if any of you guys would like to help me out with being an "expert" in the field.

let me know guys! thanks!

Hey WreckinMachine I am interested to see what you do with your GS550. I am working on mine right now. Getting paint done and trying to fix a few things on it. Post more pics please.

Once I get the bike up and running I will have to come down to Denver. I am up in Windsor. I think there are a few guys on here from Fort Collins.

Re: COLORADO CREW!!!!!!

I would as well, but being busy with school, I havnt de-winterized yet and also need a new battery, thats on the docket this weekend though. This warm weather is killing me! On a side note, just finished up a couple old school metal flake Fulmer V2 Helmets custom painted. (attempting to slowly get into pin striping)

Pics to follow soon!

Where do you usually head for a brew? Or, what are the usual biker bars around town? I talked to a guy who said there were a few in Golden. Being from the Midwest, they were everywhere.
