Come On Eileen!....tanks for the memories!

Really diggin the shape brandon. Very cool. I for one cant wait to see what you come up with for a finished project.

Hey Twisted - make sure you check the clearance to your motor before you start glassing your tank.

Like I said, my 650 tank hit the motor - It surprised me how tall the 450 motor sits in the frame

Just don't want to see you make a swish tank and have to chop it up to sit over the motor  :-[

Yes sir, that is a "Will Do", and I really apreciate the advise, otherwise I may have not even thought about it! I plan on finishing the shape on both sides out of the foam, and then I am going to stick the motor in there to check the clearance, that way if I need to make adjustments, it can be done to the buck and not the FG work! Again, thanks for the heads up!

To the rest of you guys, thank you for padding my ego........like my head is not big enough!!!!

Just kidding, there are many people on this site doing some really amaizing shit, I mean Rocan is only like 16 and look at his work, by the time he is my age there is no telling what he will be capible of! I am happy that my work is even close to par with all the work happening here and I and thrilled to be a part of all of this.

Thanks for everything you guys bring to the table, Eileen would not be possible without all of you.

sooo. ... ummm, does it ever make you tip over while your walking?

No, if I tip over, it is usually from the Bushmills!!! ;D

....tough crowd.....

not like I was going to make any gravitational field comments or anything....... ;)

I don't know why I haven't seen this thread before, but nice work so far. I am really digging on the headlight ears and I can't wait to see how the tank comes out.

Got the tank buck finished up for the most part, just a little tweeking and she is ready to start some glassing, also got a tail about ready. The seat is taller than it will be in the end, I will cut that bottom length off to the height that I wish. Still along road, but I am making headway. Alex came over and worked on his tank project while I worked on mine, no bushmills but we did have some Stella.

Alex working on the new tank for Delores, knee dents and clip-on dents, he hammered into a factory 750 tanks and is now cleaning up with filler.

I LIKE IT!

The transition from the tank to the seat is really smooth. So where from here? You gonna mud the bucks and throw glass. I hear sheetrock mud is good for the mold but haven't tried myself. I really can't wait to see your plans for the rear hoop area.

Soooooo stoked bro.

I plan on doing the tank in three different pieces with a lip on some of the pieces for another to fit over, that will make a strong bond and a rigid part, the bottom and tunnel will be one part, then each half (split down the middle from the neck to the seat) of the top will be one part, making three total. I have been debating what to do to really get the buck smooth or if that is even really necessary. I may try the sheetrock mud method, since I have some already anyway. I have another little problem coming up that will put Eileen on a bit of a hold again, Amy and I just found out we have to move, the house we have been renting has been for sale and it has sold, so we are looking for a new place now and planning on moving within the next two weeks. So for the time being, I have to concentrate on that.

Very nice shape for the tank!
Imho the seat could be a little larger...

Best regards
Sven
