1. Yes, no problem with the tank.

2. The tail light is something I picked up in a truckstop in Kansas. It is actually a semi running light with a seperate visor on it. It is only a single birghtness but the turn signals are dual filiment and act as the brake lights. There is a company that just came out with a stop/tail led to fit it but I wasn't able to get one in time. It is a simple fix to put it in with only adding 1 wire.

3. Wooden base with what started as 4 inch thick marine foam (boat cushion material) that was cut down a little. Then I used a marine vinyl that is quite nice, it is very stretchy like it has elastic in it, pull it tight and staple. The wood is attached with industrial strength velcro for easy removal.

awesome, thanks for the info. the upholstery place near me wanted to permanently attach it and i was just wondering if velcro would work as i was driving this afternoon.

Ok, I bite. Why would the tank have any bearing on the registration process?

I'm assuming the tank itself is fiberglass, and some placeS will not allow you to put a glass tank on for safety reasons.
