Confused on 72 CB350 tire size

Ordering some Avon m26 for my CB350. I've been searching around everywhere and the answers fluctuate everywhere so I wasn't sure if different years had anything to do with the tire size.

I've read people recommending 100/90-18 on front and 110/90-18 on rear. Yet I also read others recommending 90/90-18 on front and 100/90-18 on rear. Then there is some that go out of the park at 120/90/18 on the rear.

Is their anyone that can point me the right direction?

You should be good with the 100/90-18 and 110/90-18. They're a little wider than the stock tires but fit the rim just fine.

The STOCK size is 3.00 18 on front, 3.50 18 on rear. Stock Rims are WM0 (1.60 wide) on front, WM1 on rear (1.85 Wide).

The rims are proper only to the stock sizes. They are too narrow for anything larger. You can fit larger tires on, but the beads are pinched in too far and affect traction and handling in a negative manner.

3.00 is inches. Multiply by 25.4 to get MM. 3.00 x 25.4 = 76.2 or approx 80. So an 80/90 x 18 is the stock size.

The tire recommended was a 100/90-18. Divide 100 by 25.4 = 3.93 or approx 4.00.

So a 100/90x18 tire is 2 sizes too large for stock rims.

For the rear:
3.50 times 25.4 = 88.9 or approx. 90...So stock rear is 90/90 x 18
The 110/90 x 18 is 110/25.4 = 4.33 or approx 4.50 width.

Again, the 110/90x18 is 2 sizes too large for the rim.

It's your skin and maybe your road rash, or worse. Fat tires on skinny rims will cause very poor handling (as in slow steering, poor contact patch on the road so reduced braking).

People put the fat tires on for looks, and disregard the negative handling. I am not sure why.

If you want fatter tires, buy wider rims. There is a chart floating around with the recommended rim width versus tire size.

The right size tires are available. Cheaper tires the right size will handle and work better than "better" tires mounted on undersize rims.

So do whatever you want, I am not the tire police, you have the right to do dumb things.

besides the safety and handling negatives, another drawback to bigger tires is the weight, they will make a bike that cannot afford to be slower, slower

The Charts I was referring to...
