Yep congrats guys. Thank God I got to watch some good hockey. Watched a few minutes of the girls US and Canada and damn near puked in my mouth. I appreciate effort but for god's sake it's the Olympics. They should be able to skate shouldn't they??I felt like I was watching the special Olympics. The only thing worse is girls basketball. Sorry for the rant....I don't mean to offend anyone.
Anyhow, Good for you guys that Sid finally started shooting the puck. Our Goalie was expecting pass all the way. I think he was sliding off the post as soon as Sid touched the puck, hahahaha.
Actually I didn't care who won. My son played amateurs and juniors with a good many of those players both US and Canadian so I was happy watching them skate the Big Show. Awesome stuff!

That was some good clean hockey. I wish the NHL was that good It is so Diluted that half the guys only make it cause they can hit. I like the fact there was just enough contact, in the right places that the games were about talent not who can hit the guy with the puck the hardest.

Cheers to both teams for some damn good hockey.

Oh and Troy, i feel ya on the girls, give them a few more years of playing at this level and they won't seem to be playing in slow motion ;D

I watched the opening round of World Superbike at Phillip Island instead....some good clean racing with a suprise first race win by Leon Haslam on a Zook no less, and Carlos Checa was brilliant in the second race. We were at the inlaws for Sunday supper, the father inlaw was watching the hockey game downstairs and yelled up the stairs to me when the US team tied it up, then again when the Canadians won....good enough for me LOL.

Canada wasn't any better than the USA, the teams were evenly matched once Brodeur got the hook. Even Crosby admitted his winning goal was the result of a blind shot. Canada wins gold with a lucky goal, but we'll take it thank you very much.
