Corey's CB360 bobber build

I went out and tested how it felt on the bike. I liked it so thats what I'll go with. I just got done painting the pan, (thinking I should have drilled the holes around the edge first) but that should be dry today and maybe I'll try to drill the holes tonight or tomorrow and get the thing covered.

I borrowed a buddy's cordless impact and got the forks apart today. So those are all back together and back on the bike. Just waiting for my special order fork oil now... ::) The place in town didn't stock any heavier than 10wt. I'm hoping to get to work on the seat some tonight.

I got the seat covered today. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It was my first time covering a seat so I think it turned out well. I used some spray adhesive to attach it to the foam pad and smoothed that all out and folded it over. Then just went along with and awl and made a hole through the leather where I had drilled holes on the pan and riveted it in place.

i agree the seat is very nice....the only thing i woulda done differently is put a layer of batting over the foam to kill the hard edges but it does look fantastic.

Thanks for the compliments guys, I wondered that too if some batting would have covered up the couple places on the sides where you can see where the two layers of foam were put together. Overall though I'm real happy with it. It ended up only costing $41 too. I was real happy with that since some I saw that I liked online were around $150.

batting definately would have done wonders but if youre happy with it just keep it. if worse came to worse you could just mark the pan and the leather in one spot so its easy to line back up and drill the rivets out and throw some batting on it and pop rivet the leather back on, i bet itd take an hour tops.....either way its a really nice clean saddle, keep up the good work

Thanks, and I'd be more than happy to help out with anything I can.

Not much of an update, but I got my battery and tail light in the mail the other day. Next project will be making a battery box and getting that mounted up to the frame. The Tail light is a Ford 38.

Feels good when the mail man brings gifts from the speed gods, huh? Looking forward to this bike being finished. Very nice so far.

Ya that looks like a picture of Troy's bike. I don't plan on doing that and he has cut his up since then also. It takes away from the clearance you would have between the rear fender and the seat. Did you get the pictures that I sent you of how mine looks?
