Newbie here, Here's my GT550. Nobody makes a decent set for these bikes, there not too popular. So I figure out what was needed and did them up myself. I machined all the aluminum on a CNC and bought linkage components needed. They turned out very nice I think.

Its difficult getting the shifter linkage set up, cuz of the lack of clearance wiht the pipe. They work better with stock pipes,as the expansion section of the pipe is a bit smaller, but ive got 2200 miles on htis set. Ive since put an offset bend in the shift lever to go around the pipe. Its about 10 degrees here in michigan so ive yet to put it back on and try it. So far I love it.

Ive sold about 4 sets so far with the no issues. Most complain about the tight fit, but they understand why it is hte way it is. Once i prove out the offset lever, Ill send out a new lever to everybody that bought a set from me.

Im working on sets for XS650 yamaha's , and CB750's too.

Wow I'm digging those. How much are you selling them for? I've got a GT185 that I think these would work on.. Need to get some rear sets to make room for some expansion chambers..

How come everyone and their cousin seems to have access to cnc equipment except me? ;)

I'd love to see the XS650 parts... :D

Nice work Durgam! That's a good lookin' set of controls. There's nothing better than one off parts. They just ooze character.

Also wondering if the xs650 sets are still in the works? Would love to see some pics.

Sorry for being away so long. :( JRR PMed me to get me back on track apperently im not getting emails on replies to the thread. OH well, now I know. TO confirm , I am still working on XS650 sets, AS I hope to have a mock up this week or early next. I got behind on projects trying to finish up my GT.
IM designing some reed cages fro water buffalo's, along with designing billet switch housings. Ill keep you all posted with the progress on the rear sets. Thanks, and sorry again.

I havent had any issue of the rod flexing. The longest piece is 9.5 inches i think. Anything over 11, and I have a thin wall steel tube that fits perfectly over the rod, and you can pinch it between the lock nuts, and paint it to match whatever you want for the bike. Stiffen's it right up. I used it on a bobber I built last year. I can get some pics of that too. I did the fender struts, and forward controls as well.

Well it's been a while since you posted anything about the rearsets, any progress on the xs sets yet?
