Countersink LED into rear frame loop?

Anyone do this or seen it done before as a tail/running light? Thinking of a 1/2 inch tall LED strip with formed polycarbonate lens that matches the radius of the loop. I figure it well keep a clean look while still being functional. Any thoughts or input would be great. My dremel and frame loop are asking for it.

personally i would fill it with clear epoxy that you tint with trans red paint, as you pour stir it to get the bubbles out, your LED woul dhave to laid in from the back. much the same process as they use on the stretched bags for harleys and flush in tails for hot rods
