apparently you need mo 'sperience with aluminum

There is a ton of zinc in those cast parts.....it isn't like clean 6000 or 7000 series. Sucks to work with.

I've picked up a few bikes with broken fins, I usually just grind and sand them smooth and try to mirror it on the opposite side. If it no longer looks broken, it won't draw eyes..

I agree that pissing on it is clearly the easiest solution.
