Most of us have crashed at one point or another in our lives. Whether it be on a motorcycle, dirt bike, bicycle, or a car.
We have also broken bones and had hospital stays. And in the end, we have a cool story to tell.

Here's mine:

Last July, we went to New York, where Travis is from, to visit his parents for vacation. It was Wednesday afternoon, and we decided to go riding after his dad came home from work. Travis grew up racing dirt bikes and his dad, at 58 years old, still races. I was on a Honda CRF 80 and his dad was on a KTM 250F. He passed me on a turn, and I must have hit a rut and turned left in front of him, and we crashed.
I had a broken left collar bone, dislocated left shoulder, broken left hand (3rd metacarpal bone), bruised spleen with internal bleeding, and a concussion. I don't remember anything, which is probably a good thing. I was put in ICU for 2 nights and 1 extra night there. His dad was fine.
Lesson learned: No passing in the air or turning left.

So be careful on whatever you ride and have fun!

Brandon, wait til you meet her - then you can feel where the collar bone healed. It's kinda creepy.

She had a little "mishap" at Troy's - got up and said "No broken bones, I'm good!"

Hearing the story in real life, My jaw was on the floor!

She's a trooper tho! Plus her collarbone is scary!!!! :D :D

It's like the saying goes, "there are to kinds of motorcyclists. One's who've crashed and ones who will crash". And yes she is a rad chick. Sweet heart too.

I got to hear this story in Troy's truck driving sweep for the ride that turned into a WV downpour complete with tornado warnings. The rain made it bad enough, some of the hardest I've driven thru and I live in Oregon....but try it while shuddering listening to tales of crunching bones and old guys landing ON TOP of a girl on a CRF80...ugh.
And yeah...there's a hell of a sharp edge sticking up off that collar bone.

You are totally rad, glad you came along lady!

badass!
