Custom Cafe Virago 920 $4750

Hey,
It's actually a good looking bike, i am moderately impressed, it came out pretty cool.

Hell, I hope you get your 5 large, but you're not going to get it here I'm sorry to say. Some guy on CL that just wants a cool bike though *may* buy it for that, although you'd be better off trying to get ridiculous prices for a honda ;)

Except those long forks will flex with no brace, it'll steer like a pig with that front wheel. As far as the 'everybody's a builder' thing you might be well served to look around you a little bit hombre - you're on a builder forum...

You may very well get four or five grand from some dude on craigslist, you won't get it here. Look at the member's bikes for sale - there's some much fancier hardware on the block at prices that make a lot more sense.

Want to learn and share what you know about building? Stick around. Want that quick buck? You're in the wrong spot.

agreed on all points

There are a lot of nice bikes on here and I
Know how many hours this crap takes!
This is twice the bike as some Honda cb 550 with ugly tail section and clubmans!
As far as handling ill ride with anyone
Brakes aren't brembo but I don't race it either
Stops fine with 2 brakes never had issues on stopping I passed the skid test when I got my m license!

You seem like you really believe your bike is worth $4750, so I'm gonna explain what everyone else is getting at: your bike is not worth $4750.

Bikes are a labor of love, not profit. If it was every guy on this site would be a millionaire. You can throw all the hours of labor and parts you want at it, but the fact remains the same: the next owner is probably just gonna do it all over again. It's the price you pay for customizing your bike. You'll be lucky to get what the bike is worth in stock form, plus pennies on the dollar for "mods"

All I can say is, look what you get for the money out there, not much.
There seem to be some not all but some pre modona types on here
And for those, I'm sorry ur bikes don't pull much$

It's pretty nice to be fair but too much for here.

Make your own brand logo slap it on there, call yourself a custom bike builder and sell it to someone with a loose wallet.

Haha... Best sales tactic ever. Insult the potential customers, then charge them double. Ya got moxie fella. Ill give ya that.

People warned me about all the know it all pre Madonnas on here.
I didn't believe them, come on guys don't prove them right!
Motorcycle enthusiasts are usually cool, don't give us a bad name

Several of us are pre Madonna. I prefer Mary Black and Reba Mcintyre, myself.

Get thee to Craigslist, participate in the forum, or buzz off. This is not a dealership.

*edit: "Reba" corrected from "Rebate". Jaysus.

This reminds me of the guy on eBay that had a CB750, every time someone asked a question, he raised the reserve.

Good luck with your bike. A local guy cafe'd a 920 a while back. Pretty good looking bike. He started out asking $5K for it, ended up selling at about $1,500.

really in the past five years ive built 12 motorcycles. a few of witch that i traded to friends at a loss. Countless hours helping people with there builds at the cost of not having time for my own bike builds. Ive given away thousands of dollars in parts to member that needed them, or trade skill. i need a harness made you need sheat metal work , i got a idea well since you build harnesses and i do sheatmetal work..... For alot of us that is what dtt is about. money is the last thing on our minds. so go tell the "people that warned you"
To get fucked

So you join a forum, contribute nothing in two years, your first post is to "try" to sell a bike for an absurd amount of money, and when everyone says no, your bike is not worth that ridiculous sum, everyone else is a premadonna? Look in the mirror dude. You're living in some strange dream world. You're not TOO far off, but being a self-proclaimed "not motorcycle guy" one would think you'd listen when other guys try to help you out. Good luck with your "not sale" mister "not motorcycle guy"
