That rpm issues do you have?

My engine flats out around 5-6k, then picks up again. Could be carbs, but I'm quickly heading toward thinking it is CDI or Stator related. I have a blown engine in my garage, may have a good stator, of course getting to it and replacing mine is the work part I'm not looking forward to!!!

Its Stator. on these rpm it switching between low and hi voltage circuit.
Find repair manual, there is described how to check CDI/stator for faults. or google it
