I have a few bikes, but this is my most recent addition, and my favorite:
I road it 150 mi earlier this month for a National MS Society event.
OMG! Did you make that thing? Thats awesome. Never even thought or seen anything like that before. The strangest thing I ever saw is a guy doing a local mountain bike event on a unicycle. (And he finished before some of the other riders )

Even in jest, this poor attempt of humor is still disgustingly violent, not to mention, I'm pretty sure it is against forum rules.
Grow up.

ndromb said:I honestly don't see any humor in implying an intentionally violent attack on any particular group of people--no matter the type of attack or group.
Have you ever had a friend killed? If I posted a picture of a similar event of similar circumstance, do you think you could see humor in it?
This isn't a matter of humor, but one of humanity.quote]
I suspect that the original incident was caused by a wreckless / unsighted driver coming across a large group of cyclists in the middle of the road. Something I've done on several occassions [ not the wreckless bit ]. - RATHER THAN AN "INTENTIONALLY VIOLENT ATTACK". I guess there would not be so much tyre smoke and black lines if it had been a deliberate attack? Something I spotted immediately.
In the UK we call this Black Humour - nothing to do with wishing people harm. In fact - if you look closely I think you'll see that this incident was in the USA and the sub-line that came with the pic was that "Nobody was killed or seriously injured".
Ever watched those motorcycle "crash and burn" DVD's ? Mayhem and minor injuries all over, but no outrage about the "humour" - or lack of it [ or humanity ].
At the moment, my thoughts are on real events, in Norway, Afgahnistan, etc. - not something I downloaded FROM AN AMERICAN site [ ie the picture ] that was intended in jest - even if some find it offensive.
Sorry if it's offended you cyclists ......I'm sure the moderator will remove the offensive matter if deemed appropriate and AND PLEASE ACCEPT MY APOLOGIES [ for the second and last time. ]
I'm off to Saxony now for a couple of weeks - where the cyclists are required by law to ride no more than 2 abreast unless on a CLOSED road race or time trial.
And just to increase my humanity rating [ maybe ] I avidly watch the Tour de France every year - even watched some stages when I've been there on vacation.
I WISH YOU HAPPY AND SAFE CYCLING - however, I prefer an engine.
ndromb said:Beachcomber, I think the thing you have to understand is, we (myself and any one else who rides frequently) put up with a lot of crap on the road--people threatening violence, intentionally passing too close, pushing us off the road, etc. So, when someone posts a picture of a fatal crash (accident or otherwise) with a caption that is implying intentional violence, I get livid.
I am the head of a bike advocacy organization* and have been hearing story after story of intentional attacks (many of them resulting in injuries, some in fatalities) with increasing frequency. I understand that international tragedies much more serious matters than a handful of malicious killings across the pond from you, but a single senseless death is just as "real" as a mass murder to me. Furthermore, accidentally taking someone's life by neglectfully operating a motor vehicle is still very "real".
The point I am trying to drive is, violence with a car shouldn't be treated any different than violence with a gun-- accidental or intentional--it's not very tasteful. Would you post a picture like that of a bunch of people being shot at (even if you thought the even was an accident)?
*Since you mentioned cyclists breaking the law, a huge part of what my organization does is work to get people on bikes to recognize the rule of the road and follow them appropriately.
