My folks have generously donated their family room and 40" digital TV for our enjoyment.

Saturday 08 March 2008, around 12:30-1pm on, located in north york.

At the pad - I won't be posting the address here, but it's easily findable on google maps. I'll send it out via emails to those attending.

Speed TV coverage (which starts at 1:30pm with some offroad coverage beforehand), is available.
We will drink beer and eat chips and benchrace, etc, etc, so on and so forth. Guys and ladies, this is an equal opportunity event.

I will provide a few snacks and have some beverages on hand, but largely bring your own (and remember to bring a DD if you're bringing wheels - easy transit access as well as street parking available).

Post up if you want on the guest-list

(PS. If you're allergic to cats, bring your anti-histamines and let me know - I can make sure they're not underfoot).

Is SpeedTV available in HD on Rogers? I'm looking but haven't found it yet (don't watch it a lot).

You guys can help me assemble my XS650 during commercials

So just checked out the Rogers listings, and no HD SpeedTV (don't think anyone in Canada carries it in HD). HD TSN etc. is on my box, but Speed is only SD.

We're running rogers cable service up here... Personally, I haven't seen much difference in the broadcast quality between SD and HD yet, but I also do not watch much (read: nearly no) tv.

And yeah... the 350 is in the garage if anyone feels the urge to wrench - Noel, you aren't allowed to bring rattlecans

Are you watching HD channels? The difference is (should be) stunning. Maybe it's the fact I sit 8 feet away from a 50" screen that makes me notice such a difference

Yeah, we met verse... ever so briefly. Food, women, music, and motorcycles (not necessarily in that order) tend to distract me a little, and Noel had more than one of those available!

Still haven't watched any TV, so I haven't experienced the HD effect yet, but Speed is broadcasting in HD, though rogers isn't. So confusing how that works Tintin. I guess we'll see how it looks in a couple weeks!

PS I updated the original post re: cats in the house. Just in case you're allergic. Will send out the address in a week and a half or so via email - so be sure to let me know you're coming so I can send it to you.
