I just recieved my DCC oil filter wrench and it does not fit. It's too small, the teeth on the wrench don't fit into the slots on the filter, I'll see if I can upload some pictures later. Seems pretty simple on how it works but maybe I'm using it wrong? Hope not

Did you knock down the lock ring on the oil filter nut?

There was a cir-clip in that I took out, if thats what you mean. It seems the the oil filter wrench is too small in diameter it says its a 24mm ID looks like it needs to be a 28-30mm.

I think Honda had two different size tools.
I assume DCC is selling the $10 motion pro sockets?
We are talking about the socket with the four "teeth" right?

Yeah that socket, I screwed up, I didn't pull the cover off. I just looked at my manual and figured it out haha. I pulled the circlip but thought the oil filter wrench went on the out side cover piece that looks like it takes the same tool just bigger. MY bad false alarm.

You put a 6mm case screw in center of filter cover to push it out after removing circlip?

Ha ha standing down

Yeah since I felt so stupid I had to split the cases and take the whole thing apart before I felt satisfied with what I got done tonight. But I did learn the manual is very handy and it help to read it first.
