De-tabbing/structural question

I'm cleaning and painting my CB175 frame, and had a structural question. It looks like a lot of people remove the welded on "fender" type section in the rear behind the battery box. Does this have any structural implications? Other than visual aesthetics, I don't see any reason to take it off.

the arc that goes from one side to the other that holds the fender? That one is structural and reduces side to side flex. If you remove it, youll need to brace the frame in a similar area.

you can remove pretty much all the tabs. Anything that your remove that has stamps should be welded smooth and grinded flat (such as the top tube underneith the tank).

good think i came across this. i was thinking about this plate as well. if i do cut it could i just run a small tube or smaller plate and it should work the same or will it take like 3 bars for the length of the plate.
