This is kind of a sticky subject. My buddy recently bought a new guzzi v7 and those crazy Italians put about 8 warning label stickers all over the thing. I mean, I've never seen stickers this tough. Whats the best way to get these off without harming the paint?
I had to take a half-dozen off my SFV, real pain. I used a hair dryer, fingernail and Goo Gone after to get rid of the residue. Took a bit of time but never damaged the clear coat at all.
Get a heat gun (not a hair dryer) and heat it up pretty hot and it will peel right off.
get a PLASTIC scraper and it will help you left the edges up, then just pull.
I just bought a new triumph last fall and I had the same problem. They put warning labels on the tank and windshield. I just pulled off what I could then I put a huge glob of mothers carnabu wax on the sticky residue and the paper was left behind. I let that sit for a few minutes and then I applied some elbow greese and it all came off. I was able to get some of the sticker off before I did this but it separated and left the paper and lots of sticky behind. Good luck.
