Ok so 3rd project start on dotheton, BUT this time I'm starting with a running riding bike so interest shouldn't be easily lost. I've already put a few hundred miles on her since I got her, including almost 200 yesterday taking a trip to Ace Cafe in London! Figured that should be the starting point for this project! Now for the bike... 03 buell blast... Not exactly the ride of choice for most, but I think it's fun and I've done the ton on it once going downhill, so I can't complain. She's running a straight pipe right now but the plan is a scrambler style pipe. I want to cut the rear frame off and weld in a more traditional seat support and put my Kawasaki z400(?) tank on it. Already got someone lined up to bend the tube, just need to do it. Anyways, I'll keep it updated!

so put around 300 miles on the little buell this weekend and have a slight leak from the top of the oil tank. once it leaks past the point where the leak is, it doesnt leak any more, but i can't tell what my level is. thinking about turning 2 small (around quart and a half) co2 bottles into oil tanks. i found where the leak is, but unforunatly i can't reach it because a brace is in the way. the only way to reach it is to cut out the brace, weld it up (to prevent further cracking and mostly fill it), jb weld to get a good seal, then weld the brace back in. I'm worried though, that by doing that, i may lose some structural rigidity. Thoughts?
