Denver CX500 FOR SALE

Been Around the Block
Since finishing my CB750..selling it and moving on through a new GS1000 project, I found a super clean CX500 C. It has something like 35K on the clock (nothing for these bikes), SUPER,SUPER clean tank/paint/and side covers. I mean this bike is CLEAN!!!!

Anyway, I am going to sell the CX to gather funds for the GS and thought I would offer it up to the Colorado Crew and other fellow DTT-ers.

I have pictures, so if you guys are at all interested, let me know.

NOTE: It does have the peanut tank rather than the Deluxe tank, so it would probably make a better RAT or Bobber than a cafe, though I was going to throw a 1/4 fairing and some drag bars on it and use it for commuting. Add to that some "peashooter" silencers, and it would be a respectable cafe bike as well, just not ideal.

I will leave this post here for a few days. If there is no interest, it goes to the Philistines on Craigslist....

A CL posting will be asking $1300....for DTT members, let's talk about $1000.

I realize that the "C" model is not really a sought after bike, but this bike is really clean, running, and clear Colorado title in hand. I would like to see it go to a home that will make it a real beauty so please let me know if you are interested. I tried to get pics up here today but no luck...wrong format I guess. I have pictures available in jpeg format, so if you are interested, I will be more than happy to send them off to you.

The bike and I are both located in Lakewood/Edgewater Colorado area, so feel free to e-mail.

You know I think they used to offer those cx500 with turbo - I bet you could locate a turbo and make a bad ass cafe - Plus the smaller cc means less fuel consumption. If I were closer I'd be all over that, probably for the best- I got my money tied up in my cb750 resurrection as it is.

One, wished I was living back in CO, two, don't have the money, otherwise I too would all over that.

Just a note, even though it is a Custom or CX500C, you can swap the tank over to a deluxe tank, with minimal effort.

Scrap...right you are...check out the most recent CafeRacer magazine. There is a "C" model in the Home Grown section that was converted into a cafe rather nicely.
