Did I get screwed?

I just paid photobucket $3 to upgrade my account for a month. All of a sudden none of my pics were visible anywhere, along with a message about bandwidth being exceeded. Can anyone with more knowlege than me clue me in on what just happened? I paid the devil, and got my pics back, so it must be working...

Duude same shit is happening to me. I havent been able to post pics up here because of photobucket "doesnt work", since I am not a paying a fee. Bunch of Bull....... Does anyone know of a way to post pics up here besides flickr?

Imageshack. Plain and simple. You can size the photos as you upload. I'm dumber than dirt and I can post photos here. And they don't "disappear".

Sweeet, then I should have some pics posted up, thanks Hoofhearted, sorry T71 ford for stealing the thread.

I've been with Photobucket forever and haven't had any problems. No limits to how many photos I upload, 500 video limit, and 10GB of bandwidth a month (I'm at 50% with 10 days to go in the period).

For videos I was using Vimeo for HD support, but Youtube has full HD now and no limits. No sense in paying for any of these services.

I have also been with Photobucket for a long time and have never had any issues but I have heard a lot of people mention that they are experiencing the same issues that you have, I am not sure why my account does not have the same issues though as I load a lot of photos on there! I do resize most of my photos to be small but I do not know if that helps?

I've been using Picasaweb for a few years. Same login as my Google accounds and intergrates with android and Picasa. Something around 2gb free storage.

I upload all of my photos to facebook. If you so desire, you can setup an album and adjust who is allowed to look at it. There's nothing (yet) stopping direct links to photos and you can get the URL simply by right-clicking onto the photo after it's uploaded. Facebook often tweaks the resolution a bit, but I've never had any serious issues.

If you're having bandwidth issues with photobucket, somebody may have direct linked to one of your images from a high traffic site.

I've been using photobucket for a long time as well with no issues... but paying them? I've never paid a cent...

Cant say i have ever had a problem with Photobucket. There was one situation where it kept going to photobucket mobile BUT that was easily fixed with a few clicks.

I'm not sure what you would have paid for. According to the website, free accounts have unlimited uploads, and I don't see any kind of premium account like Flickr.

It's the difference in the Pro account and the free account.
