difficult to push

Hey,

Is it normal for the cb750's to be a bit on the difficult side to push? I've never found it super easy to move around, and it doesn't feel like anything is binding or pinching. I replaced the rear wheel bearings but not the front.

Thanks
William

Sounds like a 500+lb pile of steel. Unless you're near 6ft and 200+ lbs, a cb750 is a pain in the ass to move around.

If something was dragging, or a bearing was bad you would hear it and definitely feel it. I'm not sure of your size or strength obviously, but at 5'8" and 180lbs pushing a 750 around is a pain for me. I can do it, but in comparison to bikes I've owned in the past (cb350, yamaha RDs, cb500/4...) it SUCKS. Ha.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it probably has disc brakes in the front, right?

If that's the case, there's your friction.
I love discs for safety reason, but they generate some friction even when they're not engaged. Drums can be configured, and often *come* configured in bikes, so that at their minimum engagement, they've got no contact. Lighter, cheaper bikes often have drums front and back. Otherwise the only place the weight of the bike would really become a serious issue, would be on an incline.

If you've got drums front and back, maybe check to make sure they're not dragging? You might be surprised just how little you hear when they are.
