DTT SUPPORTER
Alright guys, Herm and I have been talking and we're simply too busy trying to keep up with all the parts orders you guys keep flooding us with. Crazy Cafe builders, you guys must be building around the clock without sleep! There just isn't enough time between that, building bikes and horsing around to write tech articles.

So here's what we're thinking...there's a huge wealth of information on DTT and many of you who have written great tech articles for the forum. Here's your chance to re-write them and freshen them up with photos and/or video and get a shot at some free DCC swag.

What we're looking for is anything Cafe Racer related for any make and model of bike to begin to fill up our "Tech Section" on the DCC Diatribe BLOG. You'll get full credit for the review and some cool freebies for helping contribute. We're asking though that content be re-written and honestly freshened up so we don't have exact duplicates as what's being found on DTT. We also would prefer if it could be edited before send, but we also understand not everyone is an English major. No worries.

Just email your tech article ideas to thecrew@dimecitycycles.com and Herm and I will review and if it fits, approve it and post it.

Let us know what you think and let's start to see those articles!

Jason

Very cool, I will put one together, possibly on wiring, zinc plating, points, or... ? We will see. :)

jason i have wrote several how to's they are stickyd in the cafe help section. i should have htem saved as well in PDF as well as word docs

I'd be glad to do a write up on the mini-gauges I bought from you guys back in May. I'll put something together and send it your way.

You can check out my writing style at thelowside.wordpress.com.

I'd suggest the folks at DCC will want the text in as un-formatted a manner as possible, as it will all have to be copied and pasted into their website for publishing. Plain text documents would likely be the ticket - email etc., but as Jason has mentioned, they're looking for ideas first.

Of course feel free to lift any of the articles you've written here - don't go taking other people's stuff though :) and if it's been published on DO THE TON let the boys at Dime City know and maybe include the link to the article. Chances are lots of the $50 mods could be expanded on a bit for example.

How about "Build a Bioremediating Aqueous Parts Washer for under $100"?? I've built a few of them, but haven't yet created a "How To".

Thanks for all the feedback guys! Can't wait to see them start to come in. We'll be responding to you all via email instead of the forum (its easier to manage that way.) Keep em coming!

Well shit. I'm interested in this one.

If anyone needs an article edited, I would be glad to help, even if it's just straight-up grammar and spelling. I'll fix any errors and send it back to you. I spent MANY years as an English major, so please put my education to use!
