^^^LOVE THAT BIKE!!!!!!!!^^^

See kids here every day riding around on new sports bikes wearing skate shoes, t-shirts and no gloves. Doesn't bother me too much unless they get hurt and I need to see that.

Starting out on sports bikes and going to lots of superbike race meets, I was brought up on full leathers, gloves, boots, back protector. Sitting in traffic when its 90+ is pretty uncomfortable, but riding fast on open roads, I just can't do it without all the gear on. It is the ceremonial like 20mins of getting all the kit on that puts me in the frame of mind to ride fast and keep concentrated.

Not wearing a helmet seems crazy. I feel pretty naked putting the bike in the garage without one on now.

Ask me how keen I would be to ride in full leathers if I was in Florida in the summer................. boots, helmet and gloves though and some fancy armoured vest.

I'm a "full gear proponent", but I confess to riding a few times in jeans, t-shirt, helmet and runners. I'll hafta say I felt buck nekid doing it though! :p

It's one thing to put their brain goo on the pavement... But when I see a rider that has his lady friend perched up on the back in jean shorts, flip flops, an no head can.... It's a whole different level of disrespect!

Love the bike. Boy are those clip ons low. With that tank, there's no where to support your weight - except the wrists. My back hurts just looking at the pic. I used to have them down there, but over the years I have raised them, even on race bikes to get a more natural and comfortable riding position. Of course we are all different shapes and sizes, so no guarantee that would work for you too.

That's a shame, especially seeing how hard they're both about to slap against the pavement. I'd have taken her for the ride of her life and nobody would've gotten hurt!

... then after, we could get up and get on my bike.

Yea, what's going on with the front wheel in that picture? Danger Will Robinson, airborne squids inbound!

He tucked the front wheel and is low siding Probably to much lean angle and with her on the back not enough weight on the front end. Either way they spent some quality time in the ER

And that's why I gear up when I ride ... I'm too handsome to go losing that much skin, and I have enough scars as it is!

Took me a second to realize the rear tire isn't even touching.
What really gives me the willys is knowing that one second after the picture was taken her left flip flop tore off followed by a pavment/ bare ankle/ bike sandwich sliding down the road. Shuddder.... :'(

It looks like the bike is already cantilevered on his left foot/tennis shoe.
But at least they are wearing quality helmets, so they should live to learn a valuable lesson.

I didn't catch that until I read your post. I was still hoping that he recovered, but after seeing that, yea, someone got turned into a very nasty sandwich. Shudder is right - very creepy to contemplate. I think there's a lesson about making sure your daughters don't date idiots somewhere in here...
