DIY a rear rubber tank mount?

Hi guys. Project is a 74 CL360 restore. The rear rubber tank mount is shot after the bike was sitting for 20+ yrs. i've seen a few on ebay but they seem kinda steep for something thats just rubber and isn't seen when the bike is put together.

Question: does anyone have a hack recommendation for DIYing that part or should I just buck it up and buy a new one? Thanks!

Everyone loves to get creative with DIY but for $8.69 it's probably better to put your effort into something else (assuming that's the right part number for your bike).
