OK so here is my new idea. I will cast these rigid urethane foam cafe bump blocks.....and sell them. They are sand able and you can shape to your own design. Take a few steps and lay the glass on top, pull it off the foam and.... cafe seat.
I also made up these rubber mounting blocks for attaching the seat :pan, cowl or fairing to the frame. What do you think? fb-stuff.com DIY cafe seat kit how to #1

I am just sick of all the spray foam hacks and flower pot foam with electric carving knives.

Well, that process seems to work and is easy. So why change something that works?

I'm one of those foam hacks you refer too, thanks. Bit of marketing advise, if you want business from people its probably best not to call them hacks ::)

I want my foam cafe seat blocks to be the way to diy a seat bump. I will start searching for true hack jobs to post as reference of what not to do and of what could have been avoided.....had they just bought my blank. I have a few hack pics of my own ...... :-\

And I want one of my ideas to be popular, and the go to way of doing something. The fact is, the foam way really does work if you take your time and are patient. If you rush it, and don't really care about it, you end up with a sub-par product.

Again, if the same person uses your product, but doesn't take their time prepping it etc, they will still end up with a sub-par product, and will invested more money in it than if they had used the tried and trusted foam method.

People will find a way to screw up everything.

How much are you going to be asking for those frame mounting seat blocks? I might be interested.
Also how much for a frame hoop made to size? Or do you only do one size?

Thanks.

I am doing a bit of a design change with the blocks. Price is $40 for 4. $50 for the frame loop. Both prices include shipping. I only have the one size loops right now. 7".

Sure thing. I am in the middle of a redesign but have several sets of the ones pictured available. PM me or just go direct through my website WWW.fb-stuff.com
