DIY rear-set mounts for KZ1000

I haven't posted on here in quite awhile. If anyone is looking to get rear-sets on the KZ1000 here is how I did it.

First I measured for the rear-set bolt spacing. I wanted to use Kawasaki ZX6r's. I chose the 05/06 ones because I had them laying around and also they remained the same 05-2014. Easy to find replacements.

Next I drilled holes through the frame one above and below the rear swing-arm bolt.

I used all thread couplings and inserted them into the holes with a slight tap of the hammer for a snug fit.

Followed by a weld all the way around front and back.

Used grade 8 bolts and washers.

Thanks! They really have worked well. If I ever need to adjust them I can just buy or make a plate like the vortex adjustable model has.
