Thanks musrat I was sure that it would already be on here somewhere.. :-[ This is a fantastic site with loads of info, I have been spending a couple of hours each night reading.
I've been lurking for a couple of months now just gatherin ideas for my project, even before I had it, which eventually turned into them with a two for one deal I couldn't knock back.
The missus has claimed the CB250T and I've got the CB250N which was almost too good to "Cafe" it was in undercover storage for the last 20 years with original paperwork complete with panniers.
gotta love the two-fer deals.
i'm tryin to find a cb/l 175 for the little woman as she's decided that the cb350 i got to toy around with, then pass on to her, is to big.
guess that means i get to keep it when i'm done building it.
gotta go, the carb gaskets just came in the mail.
time to try out that soda blaster.
thanks
muskrat
Excellent find. Was thinkinking of getting the engine & carbs soda-blasted, but I might just do it myself. I dont need the blasting done all at once - the carbs one day & the engine over a weekend, but I want to make sure the compressor is up to the job !! Any suggestions on the size of compressor needed ??

When I seen them I wasn't really ready to buy, when the missus looked over my shoulder & said I like that one (T) you can have the other one.
That was all I needed and was straight on the phone.
She rides the SV650S so the little 250 will be fine, but now I've got to do two "cafe racers"... ;D ;D Although she did say I wasn't to touch hers but to show her how to do it.... 8) 8)
i plan on doing this to my block and head and was wondering if anyone knows will i have to clear coat again before i paint the head i'm not going to paint the block. i was planning on just cleaning with some simple green first to see if i really need to blast it.

You don't need a huge compressor as look as it is probably at least 1hp, but the smaller the compressor the more you will have to take brakes during blasting to let the tank pressire get back up to where it should be.
