DO THE TON and DIME CITY CYCLES - Partners in crime (and swag)

Cool to hear! wish I could have bough more swag when i got my brake pads from them the other day. But alas, the dtt patch is all I could swing @ the moment. Oh well, I will DEFINITELY be ordering from them again soon.
 
I wish i had an artistic side to me. for now, all i can offer is my opinion:

While i love cafe styling bikes, I cringe at the term Cafe Racer on clothing. It feels a little too tried. Like we need to clearly label ourselves, as opposed to just being. You don't see bands wear there own t-shirts, right?

i'm fully on board for DTT shirts and apparel, but maybe we should focus building a design based more on this board itself than a culture that influences it.

Well, bands don't wear their own shirts, that's true, but motorcycle clubs sure do. Gotta show your colors!

I agree with our Pres guys! Let's see some designs.. The DTT/DCC Militia will produce what you guys want. The only way we can know though, is by your contributions.

Here's something.....the solidified second design will be featured on CafeRacerTV.com. Talk about braggin' rights. Eh?

That's one of the items on the list! We're having a hard time finding "real" trucker caps though in blanks. Everything we've found so far are poor quality knock-offs that don't have the high top on them. If anyone has a suggestion.....just let us know!
 
I want a DCC winged piston hat period. Piston is the hat with real wings on it. Make them beer can holders and use fuel lines and carbs to feed me my medicine.

Stay tuned...just found a source for actual, trucker caps. :) As for "beer" lines Tim....we need to check and see if that's DOT approved. HA!

My wife Helaine, a professional illustrator/animator (who also rides and loves working on bikes with me) has come up with a basic overall joint DTT/Dime City design. She wants me to post it to see what you guys think, and if you like the concept, what direction it should go in next.

She is eager to hear your thoughts and ideas, so fire away! You want more? You want less? You want color? text? what should the text say? More Dime city? More Do the ton? Want something completely different to the existing DTT / DC logos? (Personally I love them both, thats why I like this best of both worlds look)

Let her know and she will do whatever the people deciede. Hope you like it.
She is currently working on several other designs which I will post soon. Pin up girls / Bikes seem to be on the way.

I took the image and zoomed out all the way on MS Paint as if looking at it from far away, and the connecting rod is difficult to see. Maybe beef up the conrod and make it more differentiable from the spade background? something with substance:

But I see the problem with blocking the spade stem and viewers not knowing what it is ??? So maybe a piston angled diagonally, or two crossed? Looks good so far, keep up the good work!
 
I just had a good Idea, I think the shirt should have the DTT logo in a watermark look on the shirt and then in full color over it have the words "My VJMC application was denied!"

This Idea was spawned from a quote that Tim told me at barber. "Thats the VJMC....they dont like us.....we chop shit up."
 
Awesome ideas guys! I think as a group we still need to see some more, get some more feedback and talk about it as a group. Right now, we're thinking about just running the staple DTT shirt with the big logo on the front. Plain and simple. Then, as we develop a new design we can offer that one as #2 in the collection.

Sound good to the masses?

We're working on those trucker caps as well!
