Here's a few shots I captured. For those of you who only rode the roads, you should have stopped and taken in some of the views. The natural bridge was pretty cool and dangerous place was awesome. Also, someone has pics of everyone up on the ledge we climbed at the tunnel that some lady who has "lived there her whole life never knew existed" [insert twang as needed]. I'm at a lost of words to say due to the sheer greatness of this trip and all of the awesome riding we managed to mix in with the hooning. I clocked 238 miles of gorge carving which is phenomenal considering most ride events just entail a ton of drinking.... Some how we managed both activities with zero casualties and no one left stranded. Enough gratitude cannot be express how well this event was put together by the Logan and Amanda.
P.S. My wife said she now understands why longhorn is the wife stealer. When I asked wth does that mean, she simply laughed haha.
First of many stops on the way down...
I'd say this was probably stop #5? Trek97 showed us a unicorn... A stubby one man screw drive short enough to allow the bowls to be removed from the carbs without taking them off.
A nice relaxing breakfast with mothgils going all matrix on us.
Getting ready to wake up the black bears...
Amazing lunch(twice) at the Rock.... umm. I cant remember so lets go with rock lobster...
Pure amazement at Rich Ards uniqueness.
Big and Small... (Fix's milkjugger in the back and my eyeball bike in the front)
More terrible panoramic shots...
Me concurring my fear of bears...
Rich Ard zipping up his jacket...
So... This thing.... it's a giant Metallica carving in a rock that was literally 20 feet lower than our existing cliff and had a solid 3-400 foot straight fall below right over the ledge. CC Rider(Chris) and his amazing mustache jump to the chance of scaling the side of the gorge just to take a picture of this carving that some day 3000 years from now our ancestors will call the gods of our time. At any rate....here's the pic.
And our group shot of OMG I can't believe you just jumped backwards without turning to look first!!!
Yep
On the way home Mothgils captained the jumper seat in my Nissan to Louisville where we found a shop to swap out his punctured tube. JsJamboree rode the entire way back with zero issues other than looking like he was in some pain towards the end.
Doing 4/5 the ton
All in all an amazing weekend that myself Samantha and even white Oliver had a blast at. I truly hope this is an annual event!
