Does this seat look silly on my bike???

First off, ignore how shitty my garage looks at the moment....

Now, focus your attention onto my bike.....I dont know what I think about how the seat, flows with the tank....I feel like its a tad wider than the tank where the seat meets the hump.....I know the "WHITE" probably makes it worse,

And im hoping once the wheels engine, and exhaust is on, maybe it wont be so, obvious?

Yes im worrying about the look. ::)

Should I scrap it and get one alittle narrower? or does it look ok from the general point of view?

I think it looks cool but I think that little wide spot is going to bother you forever so you should change it.

I see what you're saying, it's a tad wide. Having said that, could the seat that you have now be narrowed? If it were me I'd hack it to pieces and put it back together in a shape that pleased me. In that overhead shot for instance, you could take a line from the front corner of that seat straight to the bum stop and eliminate some of the bulk. If it was still too wide you could cut a little out of the center and put it back together. Or pay someone else to do it if you'd rather. It beats the hell out of buying another seat and having it still not look right...
-edit: How tight to the frame is the current seat?

The back does look a tad wide but it may be because it is white. When you sit on it, it may not be noticeable as I am sure your backside is wider that the seat.

It kind of looks a tad long to me but then the wheel is not on it to see how it will work out.

Just my two cents worth.

I agree about the length. I would cut 2" off the front. The width to me looks fine.

You could take an even strip out of the middle and reglass it from the inside... i like the flow with the bike

I think it looks fine. Since your tank kind of tapers from front to rear the seat compliments it.

Seat looks great just a little wide. Take a Dremel and cut about an inch and a half out of the middle and glass it back together.

Thanks for the comments,

The length has not been addressed yet, I want to see how it looks with the wheels, and then it may be shortened abit.

Ive thought about hacking it.....But im afraid to mess it up...Ive thought about selling it too...and just pick up another one with a narrower width since I now know what to get, this IS a CB350 Twin seat, but i think with my tank....it just doesnt mate....I have another seat that is all hacked up.....but idk if Im able to fix it....

yeah i like the lines in the first tank better.. works with the tank! just measure... measure some more, have a beer and be real gentle with the dremmel!

Just to chime in about the seat. I had the same issue. I have a 360 with the interceptor seat from Roccity. I mocked it up just as you've done here and I was shocked. I immediatly thought "this girls ass is just way to big". i also thought it was a bit lengthy. I did some looking around nad found other people with the same combination and really all it came down to was that the seat was bright white and the wheels/tires were not on. Once i painted it and got hte wheels on it shrank quite a bit and really blended into the bike. I think your seat will look fine!

If anything from above it looks a tad wide. Side view really complements the boxy shape of the tank. I'd interested to see a rear, street-level view. It looks like it may block out the tank. When your riding it nobody will ever get a good rear look. The side view looks great. But in reality is it comfortable to you? That's really what matters.
