Can anybody shed some light on where these vacuum lines go to? Its an 81 cb750c that was partially disassembled when i got it. The honda pdf's available arent very descriptive.
First pic shows the hose coming out of the air joint btween carbs 2 and 3 and bending down almost like an overflow tube. Is this right?
Second hose has the screw plugging it on the picture in front of the nutrunner. Its at the front of carb 2.
At this stage im trying to just her running. Still deciding between a breadbox or K&N pods if that makes a difference.

1st hose is a breather for the float bowls (don't plug it).

2nd is for a vacuum fuel tap (plug it if you aren't running a vacuum fuel tap).

expect a lot of the guys to tell you neither. our carbs simply don't run well without the factory airbox and although it's not uncommon for a few people to chime in with success stories, the majority of input you'll get will be geared towards steering you away from even giving them a shot.

from what i can gather, our carbs each need a steady, constant flow to stay happy and indivi---anything but the factory airbox takes that away from them making getting the bike to run smoothly a task that many wind up giving up on and slapping the stock airbox on.

more "pod friendly" carbs can be had, although they come with a price. if i'm not mistaken, keihin CRs go fetch a fair enough price on cyclex's website. there are loads of websites that you'll find yourself spending hours on at a time so expect to bump into the CRs and mikunis quite often.

keep in mind the K&N pods come with a hefty price tag so they're a risky little investment and some will suggest to not even bother with emgo cheap filters.

also, you'd be surprised at how useful some exploded parts diagrams may be when figuring out what goes where.

Good luck.
