Currently working on a CB350 and another 985F without much to report as they are both in tear down mode. Some cool bikes in this thread so far and good to see some of the members of 1100F on here too.

Cheers!

Hey guys, I was wondering if :p of you could help me out. I'm looking for some new exhausts for my cafe project. the stock ones are just to big in my opinion. In my search for the right ones I came across this set on an older type of CB750:

:p :p :p :p

Would this fit on my 81 CB750 DOHC? And does anybody know what type of exhaust this is? I totally love them ::)

For some reason the image isn't showing, although the link is correct...

Link isn't working for me... take me to their gallery home page even though it ends in .jpg Huh ???

I found some NOS Mac slash cut mufflers with "Y" inlets that were originally for an earlier SOHC CB750. With a little creativity and slip adapters from the autparts store the stock head pipes were reused after being trimmed to length

What mine is looking after some work. Started out as a stock '81 CB750C. Putting in an order for a bunch of parts soon.

Can somebody with a dohc 750/900 kindly give me the number off of your electronic flasher if you are using one? I Have mini signals and the electronic flasher I have is not the correct unit for the application. Thanks

Gaaaah!!! Help! My ham-fisted attempt to tighten my valve cover resulted in TWO stripped out bolt holes! What do I do???

My DOHC is just about done... well, for now. Ported the head, swapped out cams with 900 cams. Runs pretty strong now.

All put back together after having to pull the engine and relocate the rear sets. Wow, what an ordeal. Now on to the seat.

Well, time to resurrect this thread. I picked up an 82 CB750 from Ottawa few months ago. Let's just say, it needs some work!! Ha.

Anyway, I paid $100 for it plus gas money to go get it. The engine turns over which is good, and it came with a completely unmolested Supertrapp 4-1 Exhaust which is worth a hell of a lot more than $100. I am pleased. I cleaned up the exhaust and it looks brand new. I just need to build a bike for it to attach to.

Oh, it also came with a Lockhart oil cooler that looks to have had very little use.

Forks are shot, 2 out of the 3 calipers are gone... no carbs... a real project.

Upside is with the missing parts... well... missing, I can justify going after CR carbs or something similar and doing a USD fork swap with a nice café tank and seat. I am really looking forward to this build.

Unfortunately, I have a 67 Honda Dream and a 78 GS1000 build ahead of this one in the queue.

It will be a while before I get at this bike but this thread is amazing. Thanks for all the inspiration pics and info!

Sorry the middle pic is upside down. Not sure how to fix that.
