I'm trying to get these lights for my bike, but I found out that there is DOT approve for lighting as well??

some laws state that the lense must be amber. those mention clear lenses but show amber.
Ive talked to a handful of cops that come into my cafe and they all tell me that they only pull people over if its not lighting up the right color. So as long as you put amber bulbs under the clear lense you should be fine. If you need to get your bike inspected just throw on whatever legal lights you have (or buy both lenses) and change it afterwards.
