drag bar help

I have a 79 kz400, I put some drag bars on and now my throttle isnt snapping back when I twist it, I noticed if i move the whole throttle assembly out then it works normal but when I put them in the spot where I have them it wont go back. I feel like its because it pushes the throttle cable in a little not allowing for enough tension to snap the throttle back, tried re-routing the cable a couple different ways but still couldnt get it. If someone has ran into this problem some help would be great. thanks

Could be the way the cable is now routed with the new bars. It should be a nice smooth bend. Also, it could be the rubber grip touching the bar, make sure the end of the grip is not hitting the bar.

Thanks alot i didnt even think about the grip hitting the bar Im pretty damn sure thats gonna be my problem, gonna move them over a bit and hope that solves it
