Drag Bars — Anyone post some pictures?

Coast to Coast
Does anyone have any pictures they can post here with bikes that have drag bars on them? Curious what the stance would look like.

Thanks!

A couple of CB 175's with drag bars in my build thread http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=29346.0

Thanks guys! I am more than inspired by these bikes! Not only do the drag bars look awesome, but the minimal seats and tanks rock! I think I am definitely going with drag bars!!

Please, keep the pictures coming! All the bikes are beautiful!

Thanks again!!

John

Just for the record, they are the most uncomfortable bars IMO.
I had them on my 400f and swapped to superbike bars.

I think it's fair to assume you are a photographer? I'm a graphic designer and I have to say that I've never seen a style of photography like that! Awesome. Your bike is beautiful. I have a 72 CB500/4 and really like your seat. Any special mods to get that seat mounted? I'm not into hacking the frame.

Thanks!

I like the look and equally interested in the comfort/function. Even with my stock bars on the bike, I still have some major tennis elbow in my left arm that NEVER went away. The elbow started when I first began riding months ago (new rider). I have not ridden in a couple months and the pain is pretty bad.

It may depend on the bike and the seating position. On my MB5 I find them very comfortable. Here's a couple of pictures of mine.

And on the opposite extreme from Deacons flyweight is my Sumo wrestler...

Would drag bars require rear sets? Does not seam like it would...

Nothing "requires" anything, although when the bars get low, rear-sets tend to be the best ergonomically for many riders.

Would depend on your specific machine, your own size/proportions, and the desired riding position. I'd guess that for most riders on most bikes in most situations, drag bars are about as low as you could/should go before rearsets become the most reasonable option. But your mileage may vary.

At least it is an inexpensive thing to try out if your bike already has tubular bar clamps. Coupla minutes swapping everything out to a super-cheap Emgo bar or something and you'll know for sure.

I'm 6' 3" and have a really long reach. I was on a friend's CB500/4 with rear sets and I think he had superbike bars and I have to say, the rear sets put me in a weird position — no way ergonomic. My knees were so high up!

As much a problem of the positioning of the pegs as anything else, I would wager. Using the passenger peg mount holes is popular to do but not always the best place for your feet.

I'm fairly comfortably with drag bars and "wrong" rearsets. Maybe I'm just used to them?

I had fairly rear-set pegs with dirt-track-bars...

All a matter of an interaction between particular rider and particular bike setup.

I like your ergo btw. :D
