Drilling holes for bearings in aluminum

Yes Dr, we did. In fact we do......
We make them for the Suzuki 500 twin and 750 triple at the moment, along with expansion pipes. We would like to move into other models, but finding time to develop a new product is hard.

Mounted. Still need to drill some more holes and make it look pretty.

You do understand a boss is needed, along with a locker? The part could come of the bearing.
I mean, if you do it, do it right. right? Also, it looks a bit long? did you check length with OEM one?
longer arm means easier/lighter shifting, but more movement aswell.

I just thought I would post a link to this topic:

As the construction of your rearsets seems very similar, for anyone else who might be wondering the details of how they are constructed. Maybe you could show pictures of how you went about making yours and/or any progress pictures? In the link I posted, the OP talked of enlarging the hole and using loctite, maybe he could post how they lasted or any shortcomings (If he is still around, thread was from 2009).

Nice work, though, and probably a better call taking them to the machine shop.

+1 to what Bert Jan said.

You could use an oversize washer on each side, but then you adding friction, and would have been better off with a simple bush.

Another half fix would to use grub screws, but once again it would be trying to solve a problem that didn't exist before.
