Hi guys, this isn't my first post, though it maybe should have been ;) anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself...

I've been lurking here on an off for a couple years, daydreaming and really digging some of the bike you guys have put together. This is a great forum, I'm sure I'll learn a lot from you guys, and I hope to be able to contribute as well.

If you haven't figured it out, my name is Jesse :) I live in Wisconsin, am 35 years old,, have got 1 wife, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 0 kids, and 5 bikes in the garage, one that's road worthy :D An'86 BMW K100rs is my "daily driver" and I've got a cb350f that I restored (cosmetically) a few years ago that now needs mechanical restoration, as well as two cb350 twins and a cb750 that I got for parts/project bikes. One of the twins will be my first cafe as time and money allow... so it may be a while ;)

I've worked construction my whole life, and tinkered with bikes and metal working in my spare time. About a year ago, I decided I really didn't like my work anymore, and that life is too short to spend most of it doing something that you hate, so I decided to "follow my bliss". I've been working on outfitting my shop so that I can produce all things metal, a lot of them will be bike related. I still need some tools and equipment, but I'm to the point now that I can actually start making things (and hopefully a little money too ;)) I've got in the works now patterns for some custom sand cast tank emblems as well as finned cam and points covers for the cb350, cl350, and sl350 twins, stator covers are on the list too + many other things. I plan on listing my products on ebay, but I'll list them here too and offer a discount for DTT members. Stay tuned....

For now, I can show you the restoration I did on the cb350f... I know, I know, it's not a cafe... but it's still got a motor and two wheels, what's not to like? ;)

Welcome Jesse!
Nice looking 350Four you got there. Honestly, they are worth more in stock form because there were so few made. Collectors do like 'em. When I had mine, it's conditon was soo poor it was MUCH cheaper to cafe' it than restore
Now about those others... got more pics?

Thanks so much for the welcome and the kudos on the 350f :)

Most of my other bikes a buried at the moment, these are the best I can do for pics right now.

First is a "barn fresh" '72 350 twin, 6,300 miles on the clock

Second is another '72 350 twin, '76 750, and the beemer

Third is a "representative" pic I robbed off the web ;)

Welcome to DTT Jesse. Good luck with the new line of work, and get to building that cafe already! Haha.

Thanks guys :)

Love that green!

It's a PPG paint, 1970 donny brooke green, real close to the original Honda candy bacchus olive.

and get to building that cafe already! Haha

Lol, It'd be nice to get at it, but I'll be working on parts for everybody else's bikes first  It's all good though, a bike is a bike ;) Almost done with the patterns for the finned cam and points covers, I'll have some cast here before too terribly long ;D

I should have put these up earlier, but better late than never, right? ;).... The cb350f before:

Welcome! From the look of your donor bike, this is going to be one great project - I can't wait for it to come to life again as a cafe! I'll keep checking in since my project is a CB also!

Welcome! As a fellow noob, I can tell you that you will find the people here to be amazingly informative, kind, and considerate. Of course if you have been creeping the forums, you know that already!

That looks like a really fun build. I sometimes wish I would have stuck with the CB's instead of picking up this gs450, but I got a deal on it. Anyways, I like it alot. good luck on that build!
