Re: DWMS RACING CB550F SUPER REVERSE PORT! NEW PHOTOS!
Hey Meerkatt. settle down please. Joey appointed me as his official heckler.
You trying to take my job? LOL
BTW, I agree that for neophytes it's better to start with a complete running bike, but to be honest, most of mine arrive in boxes and parts have to be sourced from all over the place. Now I think about it, very few of my project bike started as complete, running bikes.
Many of them have motors and suspension and frame and bodywork from different bikes and often not from the same manufacturer. My first Triumph started with a rolling chassis IIRC and I had to source everything else.
The Phat Trakka frame came from Michigan, motor is a mix of ebay and cast off parts, seat from? pipes from another project, barrels from ebay, wheel hubs from one bike, disks from a different maker, etc. That's pretty typical around here.
Joey, the stepped pipes are an interesting approach. They don't flow the best but do act as an anti-reversion device. I would have used an intermediary pipe between the collector and the two tail pipes, but what the heck. looks cool.
