Dyna s ignition cb750 can time correctly

Been Around the Block
Hello everyone. So I just got a dyna s for my 76 cb750 and everything went smoothly except for setting the timing. It says to adjust to the advanced timing ( 1/2"to the right of the F mark) but I am maxed out. See the picture and you will notice I am halfway from F and advanced F. Anyone have this issue? Will the bike run like crap or get damaged from being this off?

When you adjusted to the advance timing mark, were you holding the rotor in the full advanced position? You have to keep the rotor turned as far clockwise as it will go as you're turning the engine. In other words, you're going to turn just the rotor clockwise, feeling the tension of the springs in the advance mechanism until it stops, then turn the engine while continuing to hold the rotor in the fully advanced position until your test light comes on, then check where your at with the timing marks. Adjust and repeat until its right.
