Ebay Cafe Seats from Vietnam

The seat was a little big and bulky, and didn't fit the seat pan as they said it would. Its ok though, I'm going to shave it down and recover it. Live and learn.

got mine from this seller, absolutely love it. Took a little modifying of the frame, but now, fits low and like a glove

I ordered a seat cover and foam. I wanted a custom color and he told me to send him pictures of the material I wanted. I haven't received the seat yet but so far I am impressed by his communication and willingness to try and get you exactly what you want. Considering the volume of auctions he completes it's rare for an ebay vendor to be able to give individual customers that level of attention.

I've got my fingers crosses on the seat.

Ive been looking and watching and contemplating over these Vietnam seats for months now. I should be winning an auction tonight for one, really hope they turn out. Will post pictures if and when I do receive and get it mounted. So far, it looks like a great deal!

I have a seat for a 72 CB350t for sale if anyone's interested. I bought one a while back but got bored waiting for shipping and grinded the mounts from the frame and made my own tracker seat.

i'm waiting for almost a month now for my cafe seat from vietnam for my norton commando, can't wait to get it.

not to hijack the thread, but to the original poster, are you currently in 1/75? i was in A Co. from 94-96 RLTW! 8)

That seat is cool! Do any of you guys have the email address for these people? I want to get one made up!

I just did the ask the seller a question thing on eBay before I bought it. He responded pretty quickly and I sent him some pictures of seats I liked and he worked with those.

my seat finally arrived from 'nam. it was held up in customs for awhile, so that was the delay. i wasn't aware that he would make them any way you want until bendoug mentioned it. had i known, i would have had the tail a bit smaller and the part where you sit a bit lower with less padding. either way, its better looking than the yellow corbin with flames that came on my bike when i got it.

pretty happy with the quality overall and the seller was quick to reply to any questions.

That thing is bad ass!! And the bike's not bad looking either. But for real I like your seat man. The VWs are awesome! I'd love to have one of the camper type bus things ( I don't know what they're called but I know they rock).

does he send u the pan too? or how exactly does it do it? i think he gives u foam and seat cover and then u have to recover it yourself? do u have to send him your stock pan and then he welds on it to the specs u give him or what? little confused

You can get a whole seat with a reproduction pan ready to blot on or just foam and cover to install on your pan.

I bought one of these seats for my cb360 for around $149.99 What I got was a foam seat and a vinyl seat cover that would fit over my stock seat pan. Sounded Great.

Shipping took 9 weeks, and the vinyl used is extremely cheap quality. It is very big and wide. Looks funny in my opinion on my little 360. My mistake for taking "the easy route"

One of these days when I get a chance, I plan to shave it down and narrowing it out. Reupholster with some good leather or at the very least better vinyl.

Just do your research and always remember YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
