Ebay project started. 75 CB500T

Man that project is coming along very well indeed.

I like the contrasting color scheme and it does look like a old style race bike.
Reminds me of some of the old Honda factory road race and Bultaco Sherpa trials bike paint scheme.
Those bikes of course made very good competition machines and are now very sought after vintage racing/collector machines.

Keeping the vintage style ribbed front tire? Those are cool looking and I think I will put a cheap pair(look-a-likes)on my Honda CB200T "parade/display" bike I'll be fixing up this Summer.

yea I wanted to stay with the ribbed front tire. I wanted to find an old avon white lettered rear, but didn't feel like waiting another week to ship it.

That's alot of broken boards....

That thing is sick! Fired you an email with a bunch of questions, hope ya don't mind. Those are the orignal wheels, just a differnent tire set? looks f'n great!

I'm guessing they're stockers. I really don't know. the front rim is bigger than the rear rim, not sure if they came that way stock or not. but yea, skinnier tire up front, lower profile tire out back.

Came into a little bit of money so I ordered some mini gauges and a small master cyl. hopefully will get here next week

Are you blanking off the starter? Or just not installed yet?

I skipped it on my 350. They're not much to kick.

Well, she's all finished. I burnt myself out working on this thing right when I was 99.9% done with it. Spring will usually give me a kick in the ass to get my bike running, but I blew it off and just skated everyday.

My buddy bought a stock 500four and got it running like 2hrs after we got it home, so that def. lit a fire.

So, I got the motor in, front and rear buttoned up, relocated the electrics/battery pretty much the exact same way Proteal did, changed out the plug wires and fabbed up a light/license plate holder.

I just kinda eyed where my points plate should be and 'eyed' the gaps as well. She fired on the 3rd kick! I couldn't believe it. Broke out the timing light and got the carbs dialed in and out we went.
These lowering shocks have the bike riding like a chuck wagon, but no worries, it's a bar hopper anyways.

Thanks for everyone's help with the questions, etc I've had during the build.

Brutha, I think you did a great job on your motorscooter. I can really appreciate the attention to all the detail you put in. I think the only thing I would have done differently would have been to keep a taller profile on the tires. My tastes dictate a certain "bubbliness" to the tires to keep the vintage look. I'm not criticising it however, I think you did an amazing job of realizing your concept. Thanks for the update!

Thanks.

I went with the ribbed style tire on the front, but I went with a low profile tire on the bike because of the shortie shocks. I didn't want to tire smacking my battery tray.

The white bike is on hold right now. My buddy got a new project last weekend to work on. I have more pictures of it, I'll post 'em when I get home from work today.

That thing looks great!! Really nice job man. Are you running stock carbs? If not what size did you replace them with? Still chuggin along with my project, buying new carbs is my next step.

Bike looks great dood! It's a nice clean look and color combo is perfect! well done!

Hey man that seat there? if you don’t mind me asking how did you come across it did you make it or buy it it if so could you tell me from who or where.
