I did strip the stator and the cylinder head cases, then i realised i wasted time and money haha. I used a product called Shellite which worked quite well, gets rid of all the oil. I then sent Sonreir a message asking for a hand, he said that the engine doesn't need to be all that clean, all you really need is a good amount of wire brushing and a pressure hose (which is great for those hard to reach places). The most important thing, is to get rid of all the oil on the motor, as paint and oil don't mix well. If you are doing a motor, or any painting i guess, its important to remember that you will spend more time on prep than on the actual painting...well thats what i found anyway haha, good prep= a good job.....this is my first project, so i am learning as i go haha.
