Engine disasembly

So in my cafe racer build i have gotten to the point where i've taken my engine apart, but i have gotten stuck. I've gotten it all the way down to taking the crank and the input shaft (i think thats what it is) out but i don't know how and both manuals that i have don't give enough detail on how to do it. So can anyone tell me how to take them out of a '78 CB550K?

It's probably the "primary shaft".

You may need a primary shaft hammer /puller sometime about now.

yes i need a shaft puller, but there is a retaining clip on both ends and i cannot get to the one on the left end, its too tight of a squeeze.
