Engine paint on wheels?

Been Around the Block
I have some left over engine paint and thought about hitting my wheels. Any reason I shouldn't do this?

Thanks for the advice.

Nope. Itll work just fine. Engine paint needs heat to fully cure though, so it may not hold up as well as a wheel paint, or something similar.

If you do try to cure it in an oven, any rubber will probably melt off. So obviously the tires need taken off, but the seals around the bearings will be shot as well.

Thats what i thought, about trying to cure it. I'll either end up stripping it down and heating it properly or just not be so cheap and buy appropriate paint.

thanks for the help

Ya, but you have to be very careful. You want consistant heat. The best way is to get a cheap Craigslist elec stove. Theyre on there for about $20 all the time. You can bake painted parts, or evenn get a Powder Coating kit for the small bits. Once I have more room, thats my plan.
