Seriously? This is what I woke up to.... more friggin snow! Guessing 20-24" of the white shit has now accumulated. This is what has FALLEN in the last couple days. Two weeks ago the wonderful 30 mph winds we were graced with had blown that table clean... ARRRRGH!
The "Southern version" of this is: I usually get to ride at least two days out of every month in the winter (read over 50 f. for a high), and I haven't been on my bike since early December.
We have white shit on the ground that has been there almost three weeks. That is unheard of, snow usually melts a couple of days later here. :
Oh yeah, they are calling for MORE SNOW over the next two days. :-X
Yup. Northern Indiana here as well... Tired of shoveling and too much of a tight ass to buy a snow thrower... I meed a cheap 4x4 four wheeler with a plow. Anyone have one for cheap? Hahaha.
Haven't seen this much snow with this long a cold spell since the late '70's.
The Weather Network has reported that Lake Erie has frozen completely over for the first time in recent memory.
I had to use a pick ax to chop the ice away from the shop door and it still only opens half way.
On the plus side, 0 Celsius on Thursday ... and then more snow and cold again.

I don't think I'd mind this as much if it would at least stay in the 20s at night, but this dropping down to below zero F business is really cutting into my garage time. Stupid beers freeze before I drink them!
I also just found out that my year and make Subaru has a defect that causes the rear end to wiggle back and forth when driving at a steady speed in icy conditions. The first time I found out when I was in the shoulder after imitating an Olympic ice skater's 720. The second time I was able to recover it, and have a rear end camber kit on the way to try to fix the issue. On one hand, I found out that it wasn't my fault the rear end got loose. On the other hand, you'd think that Subaru might, you know, test their cars in icy conditions.
Anybody else have any "fun" road adventures this winter?
Yes... Let's see. I wrecked my car (06 impala) on December 9th and had to go into the body shop with $3000 damage.. Then on the 25th of December my wife's wrecked hers (08 civic) with $9800 in damages. Neither car totalled out.... Among some other things but that was my first accident ever that was my fault and several now under my wife's belt... Not to mention a shit ton of missed work days already due to snow emergencies or kids sick... Ready for outside weather!
Oh man, that sucks, I'm sorry to hear of your misfortune. I know a lot of my coworkers have been out taking care of their kids due to snow days, and on one trip back from the airport I counted over 50 cars off the road. Somebody better tell the bodymen to stop doing their snow dance!
Agreed on the snow crap. I have to ride mine being as the tranny is blown in my truck and this below freezing riding is getting old. Actually the cold not so bad but the salt,sand,ice and other obstacles completely ruin the fun lol. Yesterday morning on my way from work it was -1f and I had to scrape ice off the gauges before I left and the ride home was so sketchy. Especially the last 1/4mile of my road is gravel and has yet to be plowed since the first snow makes it that much more fun lol
The snow forecast for today and tomorrow has been changed, it is supposed to be 50 on Wednesday and 60 by Sunday! ;D

Lucky you, I am sick of this damn white shit. It did get up to around 55 a day or so ago and I was tempted to go for a ride but my dirveway was still way to snowy to get the bike down safely. Another 2-3 weeks and we will hopefully be done with this shit. But there have been years where we don't see bare roads until April.
A couple years ago, it was 50F on New Year's Day and I was out riding. This year, we barely made it above freezing, and the melted snow then froze solid that night, creating a nice deadly layer under the newly fallen snow. I have no idea when it will be above freezing again, probably not till March.
