Epic FAIL!!

Case of knowing just enough to be very dangerous. I got a kick out of reading the post on you tube making excuses for this guy. I couldn’t help but think that the same thing could happen to those guys too. I think he was text messaging

You are right he up shifted (not down) just about at the point that the rider in front of him was slowing down. Hot shot was still looking to his right at that point. I love how he grabs for the clutch and puts his left foot down almost at impact. There is also a lack of high engine rev.
 
i have to chalk that one up to not paying attention man.....he was too worried about the guy with the camera. I'm still laughing.
 
Im not generally a violent man... But, if I was the one he hit... Oh my, would I lay a proper beating on him. If he wasnt headed to the hospital from the wreck, he would be from the repeated blows to the face. What a moron. When travelling forward, LOOK FORWARD!!!!!

I know it is, I think it is all propaganda to try and promote sales of domestic brands! I drive a Toyota! And love it!
 
I dont think it was this bad when fords explorers started flipping over...

Whats the deal with the US Govt trying to "Investigate" what ever Toyota told there investers?

I have great respect for Toyota but this is becoming a common story. Not sure what I'd do if my youngest son with limited driving experience was behind the wheel when one of these things did this. He would probably end up dead. In the article the officer said that after they got the car to slow down to 50mph they had to shut the car off to get it to stop. My wife has a doctor friend with a prius that was fixed twice for the same problem. Then it stuck on him again the other day.
 
What I don't understand is: Are the people that are driving these cars to ignorent to push the shifter to neutral? A prius (or any of the listed cars) is not a rocket ship, when the accelerator sticks, its not like you zoom to high speeds, they 0-60 in like 5 minutes! You should have more than ample time to respond. Simply jam it to neutral, stop the car, turn off the ignition! Not to difficult! I am positive my 16 year old nephew could handle this situation without a problem!

This just proves that too many stupid people are breeding!

That is the same thing I thought at first. I don't know man. My wife's friend said that he tried netural but the car kept speeding. He said the only way he could get it to slow was to shit it off. I've also read that people tried to put the cars in netural but nothing worked. Who knows...

TOTALLY AGREE! I've been saying this exact same thing since the beginning. When I heard people actually died because of this I was blown away. Total attack on Toyota.

Then it would be a lot more then an accelerator issue.
