I'm getting ready to paint my CL450 frame and I've heard a lot of good things about epoxy paint's toughness, but I have a couple questions.
1. Do I need to use ANY primer for epoxy paint or can I shoot it straight onto the metal?
2. Do I need to use etching primer or will regular work? The frame is down to the bare metal in most places, but not everywhere.
3. Can I shoot clear over the epoxy?
The plan right now is to just hit it with some think primer, then a gloss black epoxy paint (if it comes in gloss, etc)
Thanks!
Mike
